Mashed sweet potatoes with spicy thyme

1 3/4  pounds sweet potatoes washed
1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped chilies, drained
1/4 cup scallions  minced
2 teaspoon thyme that is fresh
1/2 to 1 teaspoon chili powder

The potatoes should be pricked several times using a knife,  then put the potatoes on a pie plate that is microwave safe Then put a damp pile with a paper towel"

This should be put in the microwave and turn tender three time for 12 minutes or until tender. Then allow it the opportunity sit until they are cool and ready to peel. The potatoes get peeled when cooler.


Puree potatoes in food processor  and then place in bowl. Then the last four ingredients  should be stirred in the potato mixture. . Ths salt and pepper should be used to season to taste.
